Secure External Returns Chute

Balancing customer convenience against library security can sometimes pose a challenge, especially where items are returned after hours. FE Technologies’ Secure External Return Chute meets the needs of both library staff and patrons.

The Secure External Returns Chute will accept an item only if it is recognised as being part of the library’s collection.

When the chute is locked, a red light appears. The customer simply scans their item across the chute, waits for the light to turn green and then deposits the returned item.

The Secure External Return Chute can be set up to read both barcodes and RFID tags.

A roller assembly transfers items safely into the library, while litter passes between the rollers and is excreted via a forward liquid trap at the base of the chute.

The Secure External Return Chute is compatible with the RFID Bin to achieve a complete returns solution.
