Motto Fashions Concept Test
Motto Fashions has discovered the benefits of Australasian-developed technology that ensures store managers and staff know exactly what is in stock at any given time. Motto Fashions – an Australian manufacturer and retailer of women’s clothing – approached FE Technologies to collaborate on a concept test of RFID technology in a retail apparel setting.
In a live stock take simulation at Motto’s Williamstown store, the retail RFID system accurately registered 1700 items of stock in less than one minute. Together, FE Technologies and Motto agreed that the system’s major benefit to retailers lay in its ability to improve customer service and sales through accurate stock location. Plans are now underway to tag all the items coming out of Motto’s Richmond headquarters to “switch on” the entire chain. “We see definite value in being able to know exactly what’s in the store at any given time,” said Motto CEO John Browne. “This technology gives our sales teams a powerful and accurate tool for helping find what customers want; and satisfied customers equates to more sales.” |
