ABOUT RFID

When & where do we use it?We all use RFID technology every day. Below are some examples of its use. KEYLESS ENTRY systems on cars use a small RFID reader (a key fob) and an RFID tag (inside your car). When these match, entry to your vehicle is granted. SHOP SECURITY employs RFID technology to prevent theft by attaching tags are attached to clothing, CDs, books and other items, with tag readers placed near exits. The reader at the exit activates the tag, which returns its ID (and other information if required) to the reader, via radio waves. ATHLETIC EVENTS, such as marathons and triathlons, where the technology is used to record large groups of athletes. HOSPITALS use it to track medical devices. Animal tagging, prisoner tracking and freeway toll systems also use RFID tagging technology.
